A nurse at a nursing home facility was recently arrested for stealing medication from patients. Drugs that belonged to patients were found in the nurse’s car. She also confessed to the theft of oxycodone, tramadol, vicodin, sleeping pills, and melatonin among other drugs.
Once the nurse was caught on surveillance video for conducting suspicious activity with access to patients’ medications, police were brought in to investigate. She confessed that she was replacing the patient’s medication pills with water pills and anti-nausea medication. The patients were not receiving their medication, which is the most unfortunate aspect of the theft. For more, read the story.
