A nursing home employee has been charged with elder abuse after footage caught on a hidden camera was reviewed. The footage showed the caregiver slapping, hitting, and abusing the patient suffering from dementia. The caregiver made the dementia patient stand for hours unable to sit on the raised bed.
“The degree of violence used in this instance is extreme,” the judge on the cass said. “What happened to [the victim] is everyone's worst nightmare.” For more, read the story.
