Nursing Home Employee Falsifies Information To Cover Incident

A nursing home employee has been found guilty of lying to cover up responsibility of a patient fall. A patient fell, broke an arm, and suffered head injuries from the fall. The employee said she took a short bathroom break, but was seen on surveillance camera exiting the building. She failed to ask co-workers to monitor her patients while she was gone.

“Nursing home caregivers are entrusted to provide the highest level of safety and care to our most vulnerable residents,” said the attorney general on the case. “There are serious consequences for abandoning nursing home residents and then trying to cover up neglect.” For more, read the story.
