A nursing home employee has been formally charged for multiple felony theft charges.  Among the charges include exploitation, forgery, unlawful use of a debit card, identity theft, and falsification of documents.  According to a report, the alleged victim was a demented patient who lived in the nursing home facility.

The applicable state’s Attorney General made a statement regarding the alleged elder criminal activity involving seniors.  “…I want [citizens] to have a heightened sense of awareness around the dangers of elder abuse and exploitation and the need to protect themselves against pervasive crimes that frequently target our seniors.”  For more, read the story.
