Nursing Home Employee Indicted For Patient Abuse

A nursing home employee has been invited for one count of patient abuse. The employee was a caregiver for patients in the nursing home facility. One patient was jerked out of bed after repeatedly telling the patient to get up. The patient suffered neck pain and bruises to her arms as a result of the abuse.

“Abusing senior citizens, some of the most vulnerable citizens in our community, is bad enough, but when the abuser is employed specifically to care for the elderly, it is especially troubling,” the prosecuting attorney said. “We take these allegations very seriously, and we will hold abusers accountable. We all need to protect the elders in our community and keep them safe.” For more, read the story
