A former nursing home employee pleaded guilty to abusing patients at the home in criminal court. The woman pleaded guilty to four counts of willful abuse or neglect of an adult. She had been arrested in March 2010 after investigators determined that she abused several patients at nursing home.
The woman’s attorney maintained her innocence in regards to allegations that she physically hurt two male residents. Prosecutors accuse her of twisting one man’s hand and bending back another man’s hand.
The woman is facing a sentence of 15 months in jail. However, it is unlikely that she will serve more than five months of that sentence.The sentencing is scheduled for October 25. For more, read the story.
