In one nursing home a former employee claims she was fired from her job for reporting incidents of abuse and neglect towards patients. The former employee began reporting incidents anonymously so she would not be harassed for sharing information or even released from her position. After the reports seemed to go unheard or ignored for about five months, she decided to directly report her concerns about the abuse in the nursing home revealing her name.
Two weeks after she submitted her report, she was terminated. The former employee is now requesting more than $50,000 in damages for the nursing home’s wrongdoing against her and the attorney’s fees. For more, read the story.
