Nursing Home Employee Sentence For Assault

A nursing home employee has been sentenced to jail for committing multiple crimes. Among those crimes, was sexual abuse. The employee place a 99-year-old patient in a bathroom on one occasion while he sexually assaulted her daughter who was visiting.

“Residents of nursing homes and their loved ones visiting them are entitled to courteous and respectful treatment, and the right to a dignified existence in the place they call home,” the attorney general said. “The actions taken by the defendant were truly reprehensible, and a grotesque abuse of power. My office will keep working to ensure that nursing home staff who violate the rights of those in their care and their families are held accountable.” For more, read the story
