A nursing home employee has been sentenced to eight years in prison after being convicted of rape. The nursing home employee was witnessed sexually assaulting a nursing home patient with dementia. The nurse that witnessed the incident reported it immediately.

Charges were brought after the nurse reported the incident and the employee was identified as someone who had no business being in the patient’s room.
