A nursing home employee has been charged with conning at least four nursing home patients and stealing money from them. The employee told patients different stories to con them into providing bank account information for her to withdraw money. One patient was told the employee needed to move money from his account, as he could no longer receive medicare. The employee moved the money and never placed it in a new account for him, or returned it.
Another patient was told the same and she stole $1,500 from him. Yet another patient was told to submit his debit card, passport, Social Security card, and checks. Overall, the employee stole $13,000 from the patients. She faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted. For more, read the story.
