Nursing Home Employee Steals from Resident

For over six months a nursing home employee stole money from a resident that she was caring for. The employee was authorized to access his bank account in order to make purchases for him but instead chose to transfer the money into her own account.

The nursing home director was contacted by the resident’s bank and alerted that the resident’s account was overdrawn. The transactions were then traced back to the employee who had access to his account. When confronted she admitted to stealing the money.

The employee used the funds to pay towards her own debt. After discovery, the employee was terminated from the nursing home and arrested. She is currently out on bond. For more, read the story.
