A nursing home employee has been sentenced to 6 months in jail after stealing thousands of dollars from patients at the nursing home facility where they resided. The employee cashed $6,000 worth of numerous checks from a resident trust fund account. The residents had not requested the money, nor did they know it was stolen.
The employee was arrested and pleaded guilty. She was charged with a felony related to criminal possession of a forged instrument. For more, read the story.
