Nursing Home Employee Steals Nearly $17,000 From Patient

A nursing home employee was arrested and is out on bond for stealing from a patient. The employee forged checks totaling nearly $17,000 signing the patient's name. The funds were supposed to cover the patient's medical bills, but the employee used them for personal expenses.

The nursing home employee faces exploitation of an elderly person, third and fourth degree forgery and theft charges. Another employee confirmed the alleged perpetrator is no longer employed at the facility. For more, read the story
