Nursing Home Employee Steals Over $10,000 From Home

A woman has been sentenced for stealing nearly $10,600 from the nursing home where she worked. The state attorney general’s office says the 38-year-old woman was given a suspended sentence of 5 years in state prison.

Under the judge’s ruling, she won’t have to serve that time if she spends 60 days in county jail, serves five years’ probation and repays the money she took from the nursing home.

The attorney general’s office says she pleaded guilty in March and admitted stealing the money while she worked as a resident account representative at the nursing home. Fore more, read the story.
