Five nursing home employees were sentenced for their involvement in the death of a patient. A respiratory therapist failed to attach a patient’s ventilator when she went to sleep. Charges were filed against a collective group of five staff working at the nursing home.
Sentencing for one staff was nine months in jail with three years probation. The former employee was found guilty of criminally negligent homicide and failure to report a death. For more, read the story.
