Nursing Home Employees Stay Overnight to Work During Snow Storm

In one area where snow was looming, a group of nursing home and hospital employees volunteered to stay overnight to care for patients knowing they may not be able to travel back and forth with the snow coming. The hospital and nursing home administration applauded the workers for being willing to stay. Many caregivers saw it as part of their job. 

“I can recall staff doing this during Super Storm Sandy and other major snow events when there’s a question as to the safety of leaving or trying to come in,” said a healthcare spokesperson. “For many, it’s simply just part of the job.” For more, read the story.
