A nursing home patient suffering from dementia has been moved to another facility after employees stole from her. The 97-year-old woman was unable to manage her own finances and trusted the facility staff to aid with her financial management. The emoyees abused her trust and spent the money on themselves.
They wrote checks to cash and for gifts to themselves for up to $50,000. Among the group the total stolen was $600,000. An investigation is underway with plans to make them pay back what they stole. For more, read the story.
