Nursing Home Faces Lawsuit For Wrongful Death

The family of a loved one has filed a lawsuit in connection with her death. The plaintiff’s mother received an overdose of morphine and died. She was one of six residents to receive morphine. The nurse accused of administering the morphine is denying the claim.

The lawsuit claims that she was trying to ease her responsibilities in caring for the patients to make them sleep and have less activity. The nurse accused of the morphine overdose in relation to the wrongful death lawsuit also had an expired nursing license and had only worked nine shifts with minimal training at the time of the patient’s overdose.
