Multiple cases have been filed against a senior care facility and their staff. The facility’s license was revoked early this year due to the investigation where the Department of Health found multiple violations. The charges include manslaughter, racketeering, theft, and multiple counts of criminal neglect of vulnerable adults.
One allegation comes from a family of a 58-year patient with dementia who died from brain injuries after being severely beaten by caregivers at the facility. Another patient died last year of septic shock from an untreated urinary tract infection, which resulted from improper medical care and neglect. For more, read here.
