Nursing Home Facilities Cited For Numerous Violations

A nursing home chain has been cited for numerous violations at multiple facilities. The state is standing by their citations despite backlash from the homes about the process of the investigations. Inspections are held annually and visits are always unannounced. Standards are held stringently by federal guidelines. 

Facilities that utilize Medicare and Medicaid funding are held tightly to the federal guidelines as they are receiving federal aid. “I believe it is an adequate process, one that can always be improved and is being improved, and we will continue to improve as we learn more,” said an associate regional administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid.
