Five nursing home facilities have been fined for deficiencies of care. The fines ranged in amounts from $1,060 to $1,300. The nursing homes allowed patients to suffer from pressures sores, injuries falls, and lacerations while transferring, among other injuries.
When contacted about the deficiencies, some of the facilities responded, while other refused comment. Some staff have been in-serviced regarding the standards of care for various situations. For more, read the story.
