Nursing Home Fall Leads To Second Death Of Patient

A nursing home has been cited for a deficiency of allowing a patient to fall and then placing them back in bed. The primary issue is that the staff had just been trained on that very issue do to a fall that led to the death of a patient who was also not immediately treated for injuries. The employees were trained to evaluate patients after a fall using at the past 3 months of falls that occurred and any injuries that resulted. 

The second patient that fell did not receive proper observation after the fall and was discovered dead the following morning. The nursing home is now ranked in the bottom 6 percent of all nursing homes in the area. For more, read the story.
