Nursing Home Fined $160,000 For Citations

A nursing home was cited for six violations in one state and fined $160,000. The citations involved a patient who fell and pulled herself into bed. She called for help, but was told to go back to bed. Medical treatment was not sought until five days after the fall.

Another patient was left in soiled clothing for 30 minutes. A third patient was blind and allowed to fall unsupervised. The nursing home is appealing the fines stating they disagree with the citations. For more, read the story.
