Nursing Home Fined For Patient Death

A nursing home has been fined over $77,000 relating to the death of a patient. The patient was noted to be in pain for days before her death. She also went without water for days. 

The fine cited by the state health department was originally a lower amount. However, when the case was turned over to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid, the fine was raised. For more, read the story
