Nursing Home Fined For Patients' Death and Fractures

A nursing home has been fined more than $27,000 for multiple incidents that resulted in the death of a patient and the fractures of all four limbs for another patient. The patient who received four fractures was allowed to fall from a toilet without using a safety belt. The patient fractured one leg and fell fracturing both arms and the other leg from the fall.

The patient who died received four other patients' medications in error. The patient was given another drug to counteract the drugs received in error, but still died a week later. For more, read the story.
