A nursing home glee club in Livingston, NY performed its annual holiday performance through a virtual concert this year. Though “the group hasn’t practiced together since March,” they were determined to have a performance this year, singing from their homes. The glee club, which is open to anyone, has members “who have a difficult time remembering what they had for breakfast, but they can always sing our songs.”
Each member recorded their parts separately; most are in their 70s and 80s. The Livingston Senior Glee Club dedicated their performance “to staff and residents at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, including some fellow glee club members.”
