Nursing Home Investigated For Prescribing Drugs That Take Patients “To China”

A nursing home is being investigated for possible over-drugging of patients in a systematic way that has been called by employees of the nursing home as “taking patients to China.”

Following a local TV investigation, several informants told the news station that patients at the nursing home were allegedly being sedated unnecessarily and inappropriately.

Taking a patient “to China” apparently is a reference to giving a medication that will put that person to sleep, according to one of the facility employees.

At least one patient may have died from the practice, according to staff. For more, abuse
