One group is bringing light to certain areas of social injustice, one topic being reformation of nursing homes. The group’s mission is to offer solutions to local officials regarding various issues within their community. According to a group member, there were certain conditions in local nursing home facilities that caused the deaths of several residents, which deeply concerned the group.
“These were people I knew and people whose families trusted that nursing home to take care of their loved ones,” one involved group member stated. “I met some of the families whose loved ones died [at the nursing home]. They were heartbroken.” For more, read the story.
