Nursing Home Lawsuit Cites Bedding And Staffing As Causes For Patient's Death

A nursing home has filed a lawsuit after a patient was found dead with her head stuck between an air mattress and the bed rail of her bed. The lawsuit cites lack of staffing, bed height and failure to re-examine the patient's bed conditions as permitting the patient's death. 

The family's attorney noted the incident “an unnecessary and untimely death.” The facility recently changed ownership, identifying former owners and staff on the Complaint. For more, read the story
