A family member has sued a nursing home for responsibility with his father’s death. The patient was admitted with Parkinson’s, diabetes, and other health issues. During his stay, he was allowed to suffer multiple pressure ulcers, one at the Stage III level.
He also suffered from pneumonia, sepsis, respiratory distress and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The suit alleges that the health issues allowed during the patient’s stay led to his death. The family is seeking a jury trial with more than $50,000 in damages. For more, read the story.
