Nursing Home Lawsuit Cites Negligence, Fraud After Patient Fall

A nursing home patient has filed a lawsuit after being allowed to fall under the care of the facility. The patient alleged in the lawsuit that she fell and was placed back in bed without her family’s knowledge. The family as not notified until the next day. Injuries occurred as a result of the fall, including a broken hip and shoulder. 

When the patient was placed in the facility’s care, she was promised one-on-one supervision. However, she was often left unattended, being allowed to wander, start a fire, break items in her room, and fall. She was admitted to the hospital to treat fall-related injuries.
