Nursing Home Lawsuit Filed For Fall, Spinal Fracture

A lawsuit has been filed against a nursing home that allowed a patient to fall. The patient was a high fall risk, but the facility failed to properly supervise and prevent the patient's fall. As a result, the patient fracture his spine and required hospitalization and surgery. The patient died at the age of 66. 

The nursing home is part of a chain that has received 2,000 violations in its facilities. The number of violations increased since new ownership acquired the chain. The patient's widow filed the lawsuit against the nursing home as his executor. For more, read the story
