Nursing Home Lawsuit Filed For Wrongful Death

A lawsuit has been filed against a facility for wrongful death after a patient died entrusted to their care. The patient suffered from bed sores, and was malnourished and dehydrated. She was not properly treated with turning and repositioning every two hours to prevent the sores from developing. After 3 weeks at the home, she was released and died just four days later.

“Unfortunately, it’s clear that the facility’s staff substantially ignored her needs and withheld required care so as to allow her to suffer multiple pressure sores, malnourishment and dehydration. As a result of the lack of care driven by a culture of putting profits over patients, the facility’s apparent neglect caused Frances extensive injuries that resulted in excruciating pain, and ultimately, her untimely death,” said the family's attorney in a press release.
