Nursing Home Lawsuit Pending For Neglect

A nursing home patient is filing a lawsuit for negligent care and short staffing at the facility where he stayed. After breaking both feet, the patient was admitted to a nursing home of his own volition. He expected the care would meet his needs of daily dressing changes following surgery and the physical therapy required to recover.

The nursing home staff failed to change his bandages daily as the doctor ordered. Instead the bandages were changed weekly. Instead, he had to have more surgery due to infection of his surgery wounds. The patient testified that the halls were void of staff throughout the night when he called for help. The patient called his wife to discharge him from the facility and contacted a lawyer.  For more, read the story
