The nursing home where one person died earlier this month after a a fire erupted in a meth lab located at the facility, has been cited for violations by the Department of Health. According to police, the individual killed was not a resident or an employee at the facility. Six others were treated for various injuries relating to the fire.
Last week, the Department of Health cited the facility for seven violations, including violations regarding safety and security. Earlier this week, the facility was notified that its license could be revoked and it will likely lose its Medicaid funding. Additionally, police have stated they expect to file criminal charges against at least two of the individuals involved. For more, read the story.
