The family of a nursing home patient has filed a lawsuit making neglect and wrongful death claims. The patient was allowed to obtain pressure ulcers without proper care to avoid or treat them. The patient also was allowed to develop pneumonia. The patient died as a result of the pneumonia.
Nursing home patients can receive less than necessary care because of staffing shortages and management issues within a nursing home facility. The lawsuit calls for a jury trial. For more, read the story.
