Nursing Home Nurse Charged With Death Of Patient

A nursing home nurse has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. The charges came from an incident where the nurse allowed a nursing home patient to fall from a lift chair. The chair was 5 feet above the ground when it should have only been 1 – 2 feet. The patient fell to the ground and died from injuries sustained.

The nurse also failed to have another person assisting with the transfer. He then moved her after the fall and left her alone to get assistance. For more, read the story
