The former employee of a nursing home who was accused of abusing a patient last year recently pleaded no contest to his charges. According to police, the department received a complaint from a hospital in August of 2010 regarding an elderly male with injuries who claimed to have been assaulted by his nurse while at the nursing home.
Police and nursing home officials investigated the incident, and a 45-year-old nurse at the facility was charged with one count of patient on Oct. 13, 2010. After the plea of no contest he was given a two years suspended sentence and two years of probation.
