A warrant has been issued for a certified nursing assistance arrest. The aid is accused of stealing medication from dying nursing home patients. A family member brought medications per scribe to other patients from her house in to the police. And investigation began when a patient came home without all of his medication.
“That`s amazing and really reprehensible and it speaks to the need for our nursing homes and similar facilities to be alert to that,” said an AARP representative. “As we age we sometimes become more isolated from our peers and children and we`re more subject to fraud or abuse.” For more, read the story.
