Nursing home patients are participating in nursing home Olympics to encourage activity, create community, and offer social interaction. The participants competed in 10 events including basketball, bowling, Frisbee and golf.
“They become normal for the day, they can get out, they can do things, they see people, they talk, they have a picnic,” said the lead volunteer and emcee for the event. For more, read the story.
