A nursing home facility has decided to close its doors forcing 140 residents to new homes. The owners chose to sell the land rather than invest in necessary upgrades for the facility. The new owners will be developing a new apartment complex in its place. The residents are shocked and disappointed as the news was unexpected.
Only one third of patients have found a new place to live. “If you check the places around here, most of them are full,” said one of the residents. “It’s very sudden and we don’t have much time.” For more, read the story.
