Nursing Home Patient Allowed To Die After Failure to Resuscitate

The family of a nursing home patient has filed a lawsuit citing the nursing home's failure to resuscitate a patient. According to video footage, the patient was not offered CPR despite the entrance and exit of three caregivers at the home. For 30 minutes, the patient was not offered any assistance. The patient died as a result.

The state health department was called in to investigate the incident. The state health department is now requiring patients to wear pink bracelets if they do not wish to be revived to make wishes clear to caregivers. For more, read the story.
