Nursing Home Patient Assaulted By Caregiver

A nursing home caregiver has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a patient in the nursing home facility where he worked. The caregiver was identified by another employee during the assault. She walked in the door while the assault was taking place. 

In a police interview the caregiver admitted to multiple accounts of sexual encounters with the patient who was described to have “profound mental retardation”. The patient was incapable of fighting the caregiver away, who faces as many as 16 years in prison. For more, read the story.
