A nursing home is being held accountable for the abuse of a patient by another resident. The patient was beaten by another resident in his room. The state department of health cited the nursing home for failing to keep its residents safe from harm.
The nursing home was also mandated to create a plan of correction for staff to prevent harm and to follow a “code white” policy for incidents when they occur. For more, read the story.
