Nursing Home Patient Dies After Altercation

 A nursing home patient is dead after an altercation at the nursing home. The patient was hit in the head with a dresser draw by another patient suffering from dementia. The injured patient was taken to the hospital with a brain hematoma requiring surgery. However, he did not survive.

 The family has filed a police report desiring to press charges. A citation has yet been issued for the incident, although the facility has received citations for other issues in the past, including unsaft guard rails and failure to follow physician’s orders. For more, read the story
