Nursing Home Patient Dies After Being Thrown From Wheelchair

A nursing home patient died after being thrown from a wheelchair while being transported in a van to a medical appointment. The driver stopped the van due to another vehicle stopping in front of him. The patient was not wearing a restraint to hold him in the wheelchair when the van stopped abruptly. 

He suffered injuries including broken ribs and a broken back. He died just days later from internal injuries. Police are investigating and deciding whether or not to file charge. For more, read the story
