Nursing Home Patient Dies After Suspected Assault By Fellow Patient

Police are investigating the death of an 83-year-old woman at a nursing home from a head injury. A staff member heard what sounded like a body hitting the floor in the facility’s locked dementia unit, and found a 78-year-old man standing over the woman. The woman suffered a skull fracture and brain injury and died. Police said the man had a history of assaulting staff and other residents, and he may face charges. For more, read the story.
