Nursing Home Patient Dies At Hands Of Other Patient

A nursing home patient died after an incident with another patient. The patient was found in her bed bleeding for hours before receiving care. One patient being combative beat the other patient in the head with a chain. The patient had earlier shown violence to nursing home staff which should have alerted them to the dangers of the patient with other patients.

A medical examiner is holding the nursing home responsible for allowing the patient to be beaten to death. The examiner believes the nursing home should have interjected sooner on the patient's behalf to prevent negligence. For more, read the story
