Nursing Home Patient Dies From Legionnaire's Disease

A nursing home patient has died after suffering from Legionnaire's disease. Individuals who are vulnerable can contract the disease that causes pneumonia. The disease comes from individuals who are more susceptible to sickness, for reasons such as diabetes, or immune disorders. 

Local officials from the health department investigated the nursing home where the patient died to ensure no other patients had contracted the disease. Legionnaire's stems from bacteria in water that spreads the disease through inhalation. Disease control includes bottled water, avoiding showers, and ice machines. For more, read the story
