Another wrongful death, making the count at least 5 lawsuits for one nursing home. The most recent lawsuit addresses a nursing home patient that was allowed to develop pressure ulcers that led to sepsis. The nursing home failed to diagnosis and treat the sepsis.
The patient was finally discharged to the hospital after losing 40 pounds suffering from dehydration and malnutrition. At least two other patients died from the same complications. For more, read the story.
